Last night I had a call with my pagan mom living in China, as we usually do every other week. This time, we touched on a recent controversy that arose from a university in China. The controversy was about a female student slandering a male student for sexual assault. I might fully expand and analyze the series of events in another post, but for now, I believe critical theory imported from the West played a key role, from the looks of it.
Mom and I both acknowledged that leftist thoughts are sowing and reaping chaos in both the West and the East. Of course, critical theory would be confronted by different religions, in different cultures, with different dynamics. I raised an open-ended question at the end of that conversation – which ideology is going to win? May the Eternal Word gain victory in both sides of the Pacific, in a way that would provide potent witness for my mom and dad.
